As a child, I marveled at my mother’s late-night crafting sessions on her trusty ironing board, her glue gun in hand, bringing forth stunning floral arrangements and DIY wonders. Despite my own dreams of exploring the crafting world, the demands of being a working mom always took precedence.
It wasn’t until I joined cake decorating classes with my niece that I finally dipped my toes into the creative pool. Together, we reveled in making party decorations and baking cakes for special occasions, igniting a spark within me that I never knew existed.
Biography
Life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges our way, and for me, it came in the form of divorce, new husband and the COVID-19 pandemic. Suddenly finding myself with more time on my hands than ever before, I turned to resin and jewelry making, inspired by the creativity of my niece. As my daughter delved into softball, I found myself immersed in personalizing jerseys, engraving glasses, and crafting an array of decorations. Each project became a therapeutic escape, a way to navigate through the uncertainties and upheavals life had thrown my way.
But it was the discovery of infusible ink and sublimation that truly set my soul on fire. The process of designing and creating personalized images on everything from drinkware to clothing became my newfound passion. With each piece I crafted, I was reminded of the boundless possibilities that creativity offers and the joy that comes from bringing personalized visions to life. In every creation, I found solace, purpose, and a reminder that the sky's the limit when it comes to expressing oneself through art.
